These Terms apply to the Recept service operated by Mach Labs LLC (“Recept”, “we”, “us”) on behalf of the businesses that use our platform. When you call a participating business, your call may be answered by an automated AI voice receptionist operated by us on that business’s behalf.
Service description
Recept is an AI voice receptionist. It answers calls for participating businesses, provides information the business has configured (such as services, hours, and policies), and can check availability and book, change, or cancel appointments you request. Complex requests and anything requiring human judgment are collected and passed to the business’s staff, who follow up directly.
Recording and transcription
Calls answered by the service may be recorded and automatically transcribed so the business can review the conversation and follow up on your request.
No professional advice
The AI receptionist does not provide medical, legal, or other professional advice, and does not make binding price quotes for custom work. Where such topics come up, it collects your contact information so a person from the business can call you back.
Text messages
Where the service sends SMS on a business’s behalf (for example appointment confirmations), message and data rates may apply. To stop receiving messages, reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, or OPTOUT). For help, reply HELP (or INFO).
